Joshua Memminger has spent nearly 20 years working directly with students, families, and community organizations across Seminole County. His service isn’t theoretical. It’s hands-on, consistent, and rooted in building stronger people and safer communities.

Building Our Youth

Youth Football Coach

Joshua has spent years coaching youth football, mentoring young athletes both on and off the field. Through coaching, he has helped instill discipline, accountability, and teamwork in the next generation.

Police Explorers Program | Senior Advisor & Director

For over a decade, Joshua led and mentored dozens of high school students through the Police Explorers Program. He provided career guidance, leadership development, and real-world life skills to help shape productive, responsible citizens right here in Seminole County.

Community & Civic Work

Parks and Preservation Advisory Committee

Joshua has served on the Parks and Preservation Advisory Committee, contributing to decisions impacting Seminole County’s parks, trails, and natural lands. This role provided valuable insight into local government and its direct impact on the community.

SCPS Ambassador Program Graduate

Joshua completed the Seminole County Public Schools Ambassador Program, gaining a comprehensive, behind-the-scenes understanding of district operations and the complexities of running a large school system.

Community & Service Organizations

Joshua remains actively involved in multiple organizations that serve the community, including family-focused groups, fraternal organizations, nonprofit boards, and the Rotary Club. His commitment to service extends well beyond his profession.

Focus on Safety Program Instructor

As a School Resource Officer, Joshua taught hundreds of SCPS 5th grade students through the Focus on Safety Program. This initiative helped build trust with students while providing practical, real-world safety education.

School Resource Unit Supervisor

Joshua supervised the School Resource Unit, managing personnel while building strong relationships with school administrators across the district. His focus was ensuring students, staff, and families had the safety, support, and resources they need to succeed.
