MEET JOSHUA MEMMINGER

Joshua Memminger is a public school parent, public safety leader, and community advocate dedicated to serving Seminole County.

His commitment to safe, high-performing schools was shaped as a School Resource Officer, where he worked closely with students, families, and educators to build trust and create secure learning environments. That experience gave him a firsthand understanding of the challenges students face both inside and outside the classroom.

Joshua currently serves as a Sergeant with a local law enforcement agency, where he has led Patrol squads and supervised the School Resource Unit. He has also served as a member of specialized units, including the Street Crimes Unit and Gang Intelligence and Suppression Unit. As Program Director for the Police Explorers, he has mentored and developed young leaders across the community.

He earned both his Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Criminal Justice after relocating to Central Florida. Originally from South Florida, Joshua has built his life around service and leadership.

As a father raising his family in Seminole County for nearly 20 years, Joshua is personally invested in the success of local schools. He knows strong schools require leadership, safe environments, engaged families, and supported educators and staff.

Joshua is running for the Seminole County School Board to bring strong, practical leadership focused on student safety, academic excellence, and accountability, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
